            <ul id="isPasted" type="disc"><li>Are you interested in joining our Business Support Team here at West Lancashire Borough Council?</li><li>Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service?</li><li>Do you have excellent administration skills with a high level of attention to detail?</li></ul><p>If the answer to these questions is &#39;yes&#39; we would love to hear from you.</p><p>We are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer who is interested in a new challenge in a fast-paced role within our Business Support Team.</p><p>You will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective administrative support service to several operational teams within the organisation. &nbsp; These teams will include Environmental Services, Planning and Regulatory Services, Housing and Corporate and Customer Services.</p><p>The key skills you will demonstrate within this role are:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Inputting and extracting data using a range of management information systems, to support with the processing of purchase orders/invoices and working to strict deadlines to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner. &nbsp;This will also include collating data to support with performance management.</li><li>Retrieving of files from the basement including filing and co-ordinating of files.</li><li>To respond to telephone, written enquiries and electronically delivered queries ensuring that the appropriate information and advice is provided.</li><li>You will need excellent ICT skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and other ICT packages as required.</li><li>Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, liaising with members of the public, senior managers, and staff members within the organisation.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills, work methodically, be able to prioritise your workload and meet multiple deadlines.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be a team player and will have the ability to use your initiative and work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Demonstrate a resilient and positive attitude with the ability to contribute constructive ideas to the team to support continuous improvement.</li></ul><p>The post holder will support the development of a positive organisational culture that is outward looking, evidence based, and customer focused. &nbsp;You will adhere to the Council&rsquo;s Expected Behavioural Standards ensuring that a high standard of customer care is maintained and dealt with in a courteous manner.</p><p><strong>What&#39;s in it for you?</strong></p><p>We pride ourselves on being a friendly, supportive employer and offer a range of benefits designed to suit your needs. You will respond to customer enquiries and establish which services are required, whilst ensuring that appropriate information and advice is given regarding all of the Council&#39;s services.</p><p>You will be a team player, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, have excellent communication skills, have the ability to act as an advocate and deal sympathetically and empathetically with a wide range of customers. &nbsp;</p><p>You will need to be flexible in your approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service which is provided between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
