With a focus on environmental sustainability, generating economic prosperity, supporting inclusive and healthy communities, and ensuring a financially resilient Council, we&rsquo;re looking for great people to help shape what comes next.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll be joining an organisation that puts its customers first, takes responsibility, and works together with a positive, can-do attitude&mdash;always looking for better ways to deliver for our communities.</p><p><strong>Your Role!</strong></p><p>As a Procurement Compliance Officer, you&rsquo;ll support the smooth running of our procurement processes and help make sure everything we do is compliant, transparent and delivers value for money.</p><p>Working with the Procurement Manager and Procurement Officer, you&rsquo;ll:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Support procurement activity and help develop contract documentation</li><li>Help run and maintain our e-tendering system, including handling supplier queries</li><li>Monitor and review spend data, producing reports to track compliance</li><li>Keep procurement records up to date, including the Contracts and Transparency Register</li><li>Act as a first point of contact for queries from suppliers and colleagues</li><li>Support the publication of transparency data</li><li>Assist with monitoring supplier performance and contract management</li></ul><p>It&rsquo;s a varied role where you&rsquo;ll work with teams across the Council and build a strong understanding of how procurement supports frontline services.</p><p><strong>About You!</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re looking for someone organised, detail-focused and keen to learn, who enjoys working as part of a team.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll have:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people</li><li>Experience using Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and Outlook)</li><li>Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload</li><li>A careful, accurate approach with attention to detail</li><li>The ability to handle sensitive information appropriately</li></ul><p>You&rsquo;ll also bring:</p><ul type="disc"><li>A positive and flexible approach</li><li>Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn</li><li>The ability to work both independently and as part of a team</li><li>An interest in procurement, compliance or data, with a willingness to develop your knowledge (including working towards CIPS if not already qualified)</li></ul><p>Above all, you will embody our organisational values&mdash;putting customers first, taking responsibility, working together and delivering results.</p><p><strong>What&#39;s in it for you?</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re a friendly and supportive employer, offering a range of benefits to help you balance work and life.</p><p>This includes a competitive salary, generous annual leave, flexible working, a strong pension scheme, and support for your development.</p><p>If you&rsquo;re looking for a role where you can learn, grow and make a real impact, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you.</p>
