Your Role!
We have a challenging and exciting role for a customer focused individual to join the West Lancashire Borough Councils Housing Adaptations Team. You will be a team player who will help us deliver high quality services to our customers around providing high quality adaptations work.
Your role will be to support to the Housing Adaptations Manager to deliver the service objectives in line with the corporate plan. You will liaise with contractors to ensure that works are undertaken competently, promptly and in line with budgets.
The role involves planning in and carrying out property surveys, preparing schedule of works, specifications, drawing or arranging the drawing of plans and obtaining Building Regulation and Planning Approval. Supervision of works in progress and monitoring of contractor's performance and quality of work. Carrying out inspections for the purpose of interim and final payment.
