Do you have great leadership skills? Do you have the drive and ambition to make a difference? We are looking for a highly motivated, performance focused manager who can lead a team to maximise rental and service charge income from tenants and leaseholders and manage debt. The team are highly skilled at working with customers to pay their rent and avoid falling into arrears and where necessary, they take appropriate enforcement action and represent the Council in Court. The post holder will be responsible for managing the debt and all associated enforcement action for current and former tenants. The role also leads our financial inclusion team which support customers who have fallen into arrears or are at risk of falling into arrears to maximise their income and protect them from losing their home.
The successful applicant will be self motivated, have excellent planning skills and a sound knowledge of ICT systems to ensure efficient and effective processes. They will work closely with external partners and key stakeholders and colleagues from across the Council to provide seamless services, support vulnerable customers and maximise income. A good knowledge of housing legislation and regulation would be desirable.
The post is initially for 12 months.
