The post-holder will update electronic records and input data and so a careful approach, excellent keyboard skills and experience of using Microsoft Word are essential. You will also have a minimum of Maths and English GCSE (Grade 4 – 9 i.e. C or above) or equivalent.

The apprenticeship will last for 23 months in which time you will commit to undertaking a Business and Administration NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship course at West Lancs College in Skelmersdale. This is a good opportunity to develop and learn, offering real hands on work experience, whilst accessing an  appropriate training course, for which time off to attend college will be given. Employment with the Council is not guaranteed at the end of the apprenticeship.
