We are looking to recruit an experienced Technical officer to join our Private Sector Housing Team within the Council's Property Services Department.
You will support the Team and be responsible overseeing the delivery of the Council's grant applications for private sector adaptations under the Council's grant agency service, as well as providing technical support to private sector clients.
You will be responsible for preparing schedules of work and specifications, supervising works on site, and ensuring all documentation is completed to fulfil each grant application. You will also be the first point of contact relating to enquiries about the policies, procedures, and proposed works.
You will be a team player, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritise your own workload, delivery under pressure and meet multiple deadlines whilst dealing sympathetically and empathetically with a wide range of customers.
You will need excellent ICT skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software packages as required.
