We have an exciting vacancy for a Principal Environmental Health Officer (Environment and Housing)! The postholder will manage our busy Environmental Protection and Private Sector Housing services. Working within the Regulatory Services team, the post holder will take a lead role in delivering and developing these essential services.

The public health and welfare risks to our community from statutory nuisance, environmental concerns and/or poor housing standards are significant. These issues are reflected in the work of our teams, which handle a large number of service requests each year. However, our proactive work on air quality, contaminated land and housing strategies and licensing are of equal importance. The post holder will therefore work towards providing a coordinated approach to service delivery to proactively address the environmental protection and housing issues in the Borough.

We pride ourselves on our friendliness and being a good employer with a range of benefits and employment terms and conditions to suit you. A competitive salary and annual leave entitlement, flexible working, a generous employer pension contribution scheme, work life balance policies, and support for your personal development are just some of the benefits we offer.

If you are forward-thinking, motivated and feel you have the skills and experience, then we would love to hear from you!

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Lyndsey Key, Environmental Health Manager on 01695 583236
