Senior Legal Executive/Assistant Solicitor (Part Time)

The Borough offers a wide contrast between open farmland and small picturesque villages together with the larger vibrant market towns of Burscough and Ormskirk. Our largest town Skelmersdale is a hive of urban activity with a number of thriving employment estates and busy shopping centres.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and enthusiastic individual to join the Council working in our small, but forward-thinking and innovative in-house legal team. Wherever possible we are able to consider flexible working hours and remote working (subject to business requirements) to meet the successful candidate's needs under the Council's flexible working arrangements. We are seeking someone with recent experience of advising in relation to housing, planning or general civil/criminal litigation matters.  You will also ideally have had exposure to one or more of the following legal practice areas: licensing, environmental health or debt recover and have the desire and ability to represent the Council in the Courts.   This position would suit someone wishing to expand their current skill set.
